6 SIMPLE STEPS FOR STORE PRODUCT LISTING
Generally, people struggle with Keywords to target in Shopify Dropshipping business model, writing the perfect length, and how much use of keywords should
be done. Unlike Amazon listings, descriptions in this model are not addressed
much. Let’s address these points below;
WRITING FOR
HUMAN AUDIENCE: Apart from the fact that your descriptions should use
the right keywords to increase usability on Google and rank well, you should
also consider the human element of your audience.
Will this listing really help the buyer in making a decision?
Does this listing provide sufficient information and pictures to the buyer?
Have I given my input completely to fully help any customer eventually convert?

A shoulder brace support in its listing should mention WHY the brace support would be helpful to any injured person, why its support would be different to other supports and why its going to help them get through their workout safely. The WHY is what will increase conversions when connected in a balance with features. Features only will never convert. Benefits of any product is exactly what provides “VALUE” to customers, not features. Tell the customers how the benefits of the product will improve their daily lives.
THE RIGHT
SEO KEYWORDS: This is pretty simple, the right keywords in your product
description will help search engines understand your pages better, and also
fasten the search of any potential customer in finding out your listing. Now
how to find the right keywords? Depends on the following;
· Search volume
· Keyword Competition
· Type of keyword (Short/long tail)
These three pointers should always check in any right
keyword. The right keyword will always have decent search volume, less keyword
competition and long tail keywords. Long tail keywords by their nature will
always have more intent shown in them, ALWAYS so will convert more. You can use
keyword tools such as SEMRUSH or KWFinder to find out such keywords.
KEYWORD PLACEMENT: Please avoid, keyword stuffing. Always place your keywords strategically. Your placement should be as follows;

Once in the page’s URL
·
Once in the product description title
·
Once or max twice in the body copy
·
Once in the image file name sequence.

This order should be enough for you to rank. Do not
repeat your keywords often.
DESCRIPTION
LENGTH: There is no fixed length of any listing’s description. It
mostly depends on the potential buyer’s awareness levels. If your audience does
not know A LOT about your product (Due to a special feature) then you would
have to explain it fully to be able to convince them to buy. Conversely, if the
product of yours doesn’t need much convincing due to its awareness already
present in customers, then the descriptions can be short too for e.g. in
Standard clothing.
UNIQUE SEO
DESCRIPTIONS: Technology has its limits as well. If you write SEO descriptions
in a very similar way, with similar keywords – search engines will have trouble
picking and optimizing which listing and when. This will create trouble for you
and your ranking so be unique in every description.,
